ISLAND DOGS

On this morning’s grateful walk,

my grateful list included:

Sand in my bed

(evidence of living by the beach)

Fur on the couch

(evidence of the unconditional love of Bella Grace) 

Dishes in the sink

(evidence I have food in my belly)

Bills in my mailbox

(evidence I have a roof over my head) 

Sunny skies and the colors of the sea

(Evidence of beauty on Earth)

May my focus be seen through eyes of gratitude.
